  • Loyola Men’s Basketball Best in NAIA Academically, All Athletic Teams Honored
    New Orleans, La.- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) honored each of Loyola University New Orleans six intercollegiate athletics teams with the men’s basketball team taking the top spot with the highest grade point average as NAIA Scholar Teams. Volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, women’s basketball, and baseball also gained distinction as each program had a cumulative 3.0 or better grade point average.

    Kansas City, Mo.- Loyola women’s basketball players Catherine Blanchard, Rachel Kovach, Christine Mainguy and Kim Rigg as well as men’s players Mario Faranda, Carter “Bear” Wurts, and Luke Zumo have been named 2007-08 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
