NEW ORLEANS, La. – Freshman guard Jasmine Brewer has posted three consecutive double-doubles and has posted three of her top four scoring games in Loyola University New Orleans’ recent contests against Xavier, Faulkner and Belhaven.

Brewer, a native of Houston, Texas, put up her first career double-double for Loyola (13-5, 2-1 SSAC) on Jan. 15 against Xavier University of Louisiana, grabbing 10 rebounds for just the second time in her career and scoring 24 points on 8-for-15 shooting.

The next time out in the team’s conference home opener against Faulkner, Brewer earned a career high, with 12 rebounds, as she also put up 19 points in the 76-69 win over the Eagles.

Brewer finished out the stretch of double-doubles with a 21-point, 10-rebound performance at home against Belhaven on Jan. 22. Brewer and fellow Houston native Keiva Council combined for 52 points, but the ‘Pack’s late rally came up just short as the Blazers escaped The Den with a 73-64 win.

Brewer, Council and the rest of the ‘Pack next play on Thursday, Jan. 27 at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss. at 5:30 p.m. They then travel to Alabama to take on Auburn University-Montgomery on Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. Live stats can be accessed from the Wolfpack website,
