(New Orleans, La.) Carmelo LoSauro was named to the All-Tournament team for his play at the Holiday Inn Emerald Beach South Texas Baseball Classic.
LoSauro went 4 for 13 for a .308 batting average. The sophomore from Land O'Lakes, Florida scored a run and produced five RBI's in the three game tournament. The Wolf Pack finished the Classic with a record of 0-3.
Texas A&M Kingsville went 3-0 in the tournament and had six players make the team. Dallas Ponder, Matt Rhodes, and Zach Pettiford were named to the team as starters. Shortstop Matt Perez, third baseman James Black, and first baseman Taylor Taska were also named to the team.
St. Cloud State finished 2-1 in the Classic and had three players honored. Outfielders Eric Loxtercamp and Brian Hansen were joined by Steve Rindelaub as a utility player/designated hitter.
Southeastern Oklahoma went 1-2 and had a pair of selections. Josh Smith was recognized for his work as catcher. He was joined by outfielder Chevis Springer.
