The All-Jesuit honor for Council will be added to her immense list of accolades that includes First Team All-Louisiana, a WBCA All-American, a NAIA Second Team All-American, as well All-Conference. Throughout her final season with Loyola, she has entered numerous top 10 lists including points, assists, and steals. In addition, Council currently ranks 3rd on LU’s scoring list for a career with 1,844 total points, while her 23.1 point-per-game average this season is the highest in program history.

Brewer was named All-Jesuit after earning Third Team All-Louisiana, NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, and All-Conference this season. In her second season at LU, she averaged 15.8 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Council, Brewer, and the rest of the Wolfpack finished the 2011-12 season in grand fashion making it to the NAIA National Championship with an impressive 23-6 overall record. The 79.3 winning percentage marks the second best winning percentage in the program’s history.

The Jesuit Basketball Spotlight pilot project is a nationwide effort to bring greater positive awareness to Jesuit education and mission. This project was developed by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) in response to member institutions wanting to spread the word of Jesuit higher education through the more than 90 basketball games in which Jesuit institutions play each other (men and women) this year.
