New Orleans, La.- The New Orleans Hornets French Quarter Flyers, the NBA team’s high flying dunk squad, will headline the Second Annual Havoc’s Fan Fest presented by Fresco Café on Tuesday, November 1 at 8 p.m. in The Den on the campus of Loyola University New Orleans. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
Fans will be able to see the Wolfpack men’s and women’s basketball teams participate in a 10 minute scrimmage. There will also be a three point shooting contest featuring women’s sharpshooters Keiva Council and Amy Moody as well as Dylan Kremer and Corey Gray from the men’s squad.
Named after Loyola’s lovable mascot, Havoc, the fan fest will consist of several interactive contests including shootouts, dance contests, and a mini bike race where fans can win various prizes. A faculty vs. student Dodgeball match featuring Loyola head coaches Kellie Kennedy and Michael Giorlando as well as Loyola Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Cissy Petty will also take place during Fan Fest.
Fans will also be entertained by performances from the Loyola Cheerleaders and Dance Team. Music will be provided by DJ GCue. Students with a valid ID will receive free pizza from Fresco Café and Pizzeria (www.frescocafe.us).
