Hornets French Quarter Flyers to Headline Loyola’s Fan Fest

New Orleans, La.- The New Orleans Hornets French Quarter Flyers, the NBA team’s high flying dunk squad, will headline the Third Annual Havoc’s Fan Fest on Thursday, October 25 at 8 p.m. in The Den on the campus of Loyola University New Orleans. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

Fans will be able to see the Wolf Pack men’s and women’s basketball teams participate in a 10 minute scrimmage. There will also be a three-point shooting contest featuring Wolf Pack sharpshooters Janeicia Neely (Kenner, La./Cabrini) and Shayne Charles (New Iberia, La./Westgate High) for the women’s team as well as Robert Lovaglio (Winter Park, Fla/Winter Park) and McCall Tomeny (Baton Rouge, La./Christian Life) from the men’s squad.

Named after Loyola’s lovable mascot, Havoc, the fan fest will consist of several interactive contests including shootouts, dance contests, and a mini bike race where fans can win various prizes. A faculty vs. student Dodgeball match will also take place during Fan Fest.

Fans will also be entertained by performances from the Loyola Cheerleaders and Dance Team. Students with a valid ID will receive free pizza from Fresco Café and Pizzeria (www.frescocafe.us). The French Quarter Flyers will close the event with their high-flying performance.
