(Washington, D.C.) Following a Southern States Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week nod, senior Jasmine Brewer of the Loyola University New Orleans women’s basketball team earned a National Jesuit Player of the Week Honorable Mention.
Brewer combined for 33 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and three steals, shooting 66.7% from the field and 68.4% from the line in two games played this week. The Pack defeated #23 Mobile on the road 64-45 and William Carey at home 61-44. Brewer notched her sixth double-double of the season against the Rams and posted double figures in her 12th consecutive contest in the win over the Crusaders.
Sophomore Marissa Janning of Creighton University (NCAA DI) received National Jesuit Player of the Week honors in addition to being named Big East Women’s Player of the Week for scoring 23 points, distributing 8 assists and grabbing three boards in a win over fellow Jesuit school Marquette.
Following last night’s victory over Jesuit rival Spring Hill, the Wolf Pack travels to #16 Bethel tomorrow for a 2 p.m. tilt with the Wildcats.
