New Orleans, La. - The Southern States Athletic Conference announced that Kailey Tuthill of Loyola University New Orleans garnered SSAC Player of the Week honors for Oct. 29 - Nov. 4th.
Tuthill, a senior outside hitter from Colorado Springs, Col. played her best week of volleyball this year, in her final week of the regular season. Helping the Pack increase their win-streak to 11, with two more victories last week, she recorded a total of 19 kills, averaging 3.2 per game, with three service aces. Defensively, Tuthill notched 13 digs and two blocks.
On Tuesday the Pack defeated Belhaven College, 25-20, 25-25, and 25-22 on Senior Night, for their final home match of the year. Tuthill led the attack with 12 kills and three service aces, while recording 10 digs.
On Thursday Loyola traveled across town where they swept Dillard University, 25-20, 25-18, and 25-19. Kailey tacked on seven more kills, with three digs and two blocks.
The Wolf Pack is currently in Montgomery, Al. competing in the SSAC Conference Tournament, facing Spring Hill College and Brenau University in Opening Day’s pool play round.
