HOUSTON, Texas - Raven Lewis set two new personal records and Elizabeth Gienger set a PR in the 1500 meters as the Wolfpack track team finished well at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet hosted by Rice University.
Lewis, a versatile freshman, set PRs in the 200 meters, coming in 25th in 26.03 seconds. Teammate Sarah Tortorich finished just .02 seconds behind Lewis in the event.
Lewis set her second PR of the day in the women's long jump, taking 28th place with a jump of 16' 5".
Gienger took 37th in the 1500 meters, with a personal-best 5:36.46.
The top overall finish on the day for the Wolfpack came in the women's 5000 meters, as Vanessa Righeimer took 15th in the event in 19:43.05.
The top men's finishes of the day also came in the 5000, as Abraham Thacker and Kenny Tsao finished back-to-back in 27th and 28th place, respectively. Neal Outland took 35th in the 800 meters in 2:11.72.
Among the other results on the day for the Wolfpack, Tucker Scott sprinted the 200 meters in 25.23 seconds, and Cristina Calderon finished the 200 in 28.25 seconds.
The team will next compete at the Golden Eagle Classic in Hattiesburg, Miss. on April 30.
