NEW ORLEANS, La. – Loyola University New Orleans senior forward Ryan Brock was named National Jesuit Player of the Week for men’s basketball as announced on Thursday, Jan. 13.
Brock, a graduate of Brother Martin, averaged 29.5 points in Loyola’s two victories over the week which included a season-high 33 against SUNO. For the week, he shot 60 percent (21 of 35) from the field and 83 percent (15 of 18) from the line. He also collected nine rebounds and nine assists.
Brock currently leads the SSAC in scoring at 24.1 points/game and ranks second in the NAIA. He sits at fifth on Loyola’s all-time scoring list with 1,439 points.
The Wolfpack begin conference play tonight when they head to Mobile to face Jesuit-rival Spring Hill College at 7:30 p.m. Live stats for the contest will be available at wolfpack.loyno.edu.
