Loyola’s Domengeaux named NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athlete

Kansas City- Loyola’s Taylor Domengeaux was named to the 2011 Daktronics Baseball Scholar Athlete list by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

A four time letter winner from Hahnville, Domengeaux anchored the Wolfpack infield as a shortstop and was in the weekend starting rotation for Loyola on the mound. He was third on the team with a .285 batting average and drove in 23 runs on the season. On the mound, Domengeaux had a team high eight complete games in 13 starts. He struck out 42 and opponents hit .301 against him in 2011. In 2010, Domengeaux had a team high six victories on the mound for the Wolfpack.

Domengeaux also earned All-Academic Team honors from the Southern States Athletic Conference last month. To be eligible for the Daktronics Scholar Athlete list, student-athletes must be in at least their junior season of eligibility and have a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
