Loyola’s golf team set for second tournament

2013 Golf team led by Lisa Tinkler heads to second tournament

(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans women’s golf team will compete in their second tournament in program history when they head to Hattiesburg, Mississippi for the Carey Collegiate Classic on Monday and Tuesday, March 18th and 19th. Tee off is scheduled for 8:00 am for both days of competition.

The tournament is being hosted by William Carey University at the Canebrake Country Club.
Canebrake golf course is a par 71, designed by Jerry Pate Design. The course is ranked as the third best golf course in Mississippi.

The Wolf Pack competed in their first ever tournament when the squad’s four women played in the Spring Hill Invitational on March 4th and 5th. Freshman Julia Falco paced the Pack by posting the lowest score with a first round score of 99 and a final round score of 103 to post a 202 total score for the Invite.

“I am excited to get back on the course, I think are ladies performed admirably in their first career tournaments, and I think we can go out there and improve both as individuals and as a team,” said Head Coach Lisa Tinkler.
