Loyola’s Tinkler adds first golf recruit of 2014-15

(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans head golf coach Lisa Tinkler announced Matt Dyroff as the first signee to the 2014-15 men’s golf team.

Dyroff is a varsity golf letterwinner at Boston College High School. As a junior, he helped the Eagles win a South Sectional Championship and his squad placed second overall in the state tournament.

During his senior campaign, Dyroff earned second place individually at the Catholic Conference Championships and was named a Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic Honorable Mention.

Dyroff was named a Scholar-Athlete by Boston College High School during his junior and senior years, and earned the Sportsman of the Year title as a senior.

In 2012, Dyroff won the NEPGA Junior Tour at the Country Club of New Bedford. The following year, he placed in the top 10 on two occasions at NEPGA Elite Tour events, finishing 11th in Player of the Year rankings.
