Bradley Brunet and the rest of the Pack will honor veterans at Friday's game

(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans is working with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) to honor military personnel at the team’s home game on Friday, April 12th against Truett-McConnell College. The game will start at 6:00 p.m. at Segnette Field.

The Wolf Pack will be wearing camouflage jerseys for the game. The jerseys of the 34 players and four coaches will be available via a silent auction throughout the week preceding the game. The proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the WWP to help injured military personnel. Bids will be accepted at the game on Friday night or can be taken over the phone or via email by contacting Brett Simpson, Associate Athletic Director at 504.864.7396 or bsimpson@loyno.edu. The auction will close at the conclusion of Saturday's first game of the doubleheader.

The Wounded Warrior Project serves veterans, service members, and their families who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, during their military service on or after September 11, 2001. They strive to create the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.

Loyola (12-33, 5-19) will square off against Truett-McConnell (6-26, 4-17) in the last home series of the season. The team will honor its eight seniors during the team’s doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. This will be the last home series for Tony Asta, Jared Belmonte, Bradley Brunet, Jeffrey Castille, Richard Dempsey, Justin Romaire, Evan Turkish, and Jake Weinstock.

All veterans and military personnel can get tickets to Friday’s game for $1. Tickets for the general public are $6. Senior citizens and children between the ages of 12-18 are $3, while children under the age of 12 are free.
