(New Orleans, La.) The Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team will travel to Jackson, Miss. on Monday, Oct. 14 to take on Belhaven University at 7 p.m. The match has been rescheduled from its original date and location, as it will be played at Millsaps College.
The Wolf Pack (6-16, 4-7 SSAC) is coming off a split weekend in Georgia where they fell to the College of Coastal Georgia on Friday and defeated Brewton-Parker College on Saturday. Senior Sabrina Stansberry and sophomore Kaitlin Mohr steadied the offense, posting 12 kills each on the weekend. Sophomore Eva Allen continues to lead the offensive effort for the Pack with 200 kills and 30 aces on the season. Stansberry secures the top spot in total blocks with 44. Junior Becca Burnett paces the passing team with 271 digs this year. Loyola edged Belhaven 3-1 in The Den earlier this season.
The Blazers (8-16, 2-9 SSAC) shared a similar fate with the Pack this weekend, slipping to Coastal Georgia and earning a victory over Brewton-Parker. Senior Brittany Ammons ranks first in kills for Belhaven with 179. Senior Katherine Owen commands her squad in both aces with 26 and digs at 388.
The two teams were originally scheduled to play Tuesday, but the Belhaven gym recently sustained water damage that caused the change of date and venue for the SSAC match.
