(New Orleans, La.) The Loyola University New Orleans men’s and women’s golf teams will head to Daytona Beach, Fl. on Saturday, April 5 to close the regular season with a two-day tournament hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at the LPGA International Jones Course.
In their last outing, the Wolf Pack women finished first and the men placed 10th at the Emmanuel Spring Invitational. All five Loyola women ranked in the top 10 individually and the team defeated No. 7 College of Coastal Georgia to earn the top spot.
Schools entering both their men’s and women’s squads include Embry-Riddle, Loyola, Southeastern University, Johnson and Wales University, Webber International University and Northwood University. Additional women’s teams competing are those hailing from Lynn University, Warner University, Seminole State College, University of Illinois Springfield, Stetson University and Flagler College. Master’s College, Dalton State College, Wayland Baptist University, the College of Coastal Georgia, the University of South Carolina Beaufort and Brewton-Parker College round out the competition for the men.
Representing the Loyola women’s team will be freshmen Alexis Hazard, Megan Keck, Julchen Narwark and Sarah-Anne Smurlick and sophomore Alexis Vega. Freshmen Keith Burkard, Hunter Crochet, Wes Gilmore and Kyle Szyhowski and redshirt junior George Ramirez will compete for the Wolf Pack men.
