(New Orleans, La.) The Loyola University New Orleans men’s and women’s golf teams are set to host a two-day tournament beginning Monday, March 10 at 8:30 a.m. at Oak Harbor Golf Club in Slidell, La.
The men’s teams participating in the tournament with the Wolf Pack include Belhaven University, the University of Houston-Victoria, Martin Methodist College, the University of Mobile and Spring Hill College.
On the women’s side, Loyola will compete with the University of Houston-Victoria, Martin Methodist College, the University of Mobile and Spring Hill College.
In Loyola golf’s last outing, freshman Sarah-Anne Smurlick tied for 13th at the 2014 Claud Jacobs Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston-Victoria. Freshman Megan Keck tied for 20th to round out the Loyola women’s leaders. For the Wolf Pack men, freshman Keith Burkard commanded his squad, tying for 25th individually. As a team, the women placed sixth and the men finished 14th.
Due to inclement weather forecasted for Tuesday, the teams will play 36 holes on Monday. Another 18 holes will be played on Tuesday, weather permitting.
