Loyola men’s basketball receives votes in latest NAIA poll

(New Orleans, La.) The Loyola University New Orleans men’s basketball team received three votes in the latest NAIA poll released Tuesday evening. The Wolf Pack garnered the 34th most votes of the schools recognized in this voting period.

Loyola (6-4) will face cross town rivals Xavier University of Louisiana and Dillard University this week. On Wednesday, the Wolf Pack will travel to the Gold Rush’s Convocation Center with tip off slated for 7:30 p.m. Xavier is ranked 13th in the poll and is currently 9-1 on the season. On Saturday, the Bleu Devils visit The Den with start time set for 4 p.m. Dillard is 1-4 on the season.

Robert Lovaglio leads the Pack with 225 points on the season, good for 22.5 points per game. Both marks are 9th in the NAIA statistical rankings. McCall Tomeny is averaging 15.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. He is 13th in the NAIA with 5.9 defensive rebounds per game.

Loyola received 24 votes in the preseason poll that was released on October 23rd.
