NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Loyola University New Orleans men’s basketball team knocked off Dillard University, 88-74, on Tuesday night at Dent Hall.
Loyola (2-0) was led by senior Ryan Brock with 24 points and junior Corey Gray with 19. Senior Richard Kohnke and freshman Robert Lovaglio came off the bench for 12 and 11 points, respectively. The duo also combined for 19 rebounds, led by Kohnke with 10.
Brock and junior Chris Joseph led the team with five assists each. The Wolfpack recorded 21 assists on 34 field goals for the game. LU shot 47.9 percent from the floor while holding Dillard (0-1) to 36.1. LU held a 49-41 advantage on the boards.
Brock led the ‘Pack with 13 first half points as LU went into the break up 45-37. Kohnke, who had a team-high four steals, scored 10 of his 12 points.
Loyola is back in action on Friday, Nov. 5 against Carver Bible College. Tip-off at The Den is set for 7:30 p.m.
