(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans men’s basketball team fell 54-47 to Dillard University at The Battlefield in Dent Hall on Saturday evening.
Tomeny was the Pack’s leading scorer as he tallied 15 points and pulled down a 10 rebounds. Kyle Simmons contributed 13 points while Jalen Gray and Manuel “Roco” Gandara had seven each. Gandra had 10 boards for the Pack. Gray added eight rebounds to go along with two steals.
Tyrone Williams led the Bleu Devils as he scored 17 on 7 for 12 from the field. Chatman chipped in with 12 points. Jarrain Jenkins had a tough day from the floor as he shot 0-11 but he led Dillard with 10 rebounds. Jordan Kilson had a game high five assists.
Loyola’s stellar defense continued as they held Dillard to 33.3% shooting for the day, however the Pack stayed cold from the field as they finished shooting 22.2% and made only 1 of 15 shots from the three point line. The Wolf Pack held an advantage at the free throw line attempting 35 to 13 by Dillard. Loyola also out rebounded Dillard 50 to 45.
The Pack will return to action on December 7th as they head to Thibodaux, Louisiana for an exhibition matchup with NCAA Division I foe Nicholls State at 3:30 p.m.
