“Give Dillard credit. They fought to the very end cutting our lead to five points late in the game. They never gave up. I was proud that our guys kept their composure and were able to finish the game strong for the victory. We’re going to take a few days off and let the guys prepare for exams before one last contest before the Christmas break,” said Loyola head coach Dr. Michael Giorlando.
For Dillard (1-6), Jenkins led the Bleu Devils with 25 points on 11 of 23 shooting from the field. Jaquan Green came off the bench to score 16. Tyrone Williams added 12 and Jordan Kilson had a game high eight assists to round out the leaders for Dillard.
