New Orleans, La- Loyola University New Orleans will host a pair of pep rallies this month in conjunction with the men’s and women’s basketball games against Tulane. The Annual Battle for Freret Street will take place on two dates this year with the men’s game on November 6 and the women’s tilt on November 11.
The men's game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Fogelman Arena, with the pep rally starting at 5 p.m. in the Danna Center. The women's match on the 11th is set for a 6 p.m. tip-off, with the pep rally occuring directly before in the Orleans Room.
The alumni association is offering three pricing packages for the events. Package one is $10 per person and entails admission into the basketball game, parking, and complimentary food and beverage at the pep rally.
Package two is $15 per person, and includes admission for both the men’s and women’s basketball games, parking for both games, complimentary food and beverage for both pep rallies, and a game t-shirt.
Loyola students can purchase their own unique package at $10 per person, which features tickets to both men’s and women’s games, food and beverage at both pep rallies, and a game t-shirt.
The pep rallies will feature plenty of music, activities such as face painting and button making, and even an appearance by Loyola’s mascot Havoc. At 6:45 pm, the Big Fun Brass Band will second line Wolfpack fans across the street just in time for tip off.
