Loyola (12-33, 5-19) comes into the series on the heels of a three game sweep over Southern Wesleyan last weekend. The Wolf Pack offense put up 25 runs in the three game set. SWU was the third opponent that Loyola has swept this season, but the first in conference play. Evan Turkish led the charge as he batted .500 for the week with six runs and three RBI’s.

Truett-McConnell (7-27, 4-17) went 2-3 in the last week as they won the opener of a three game series against Spring Hill, 5-3. The Bears then fell in the next two games against Spring Hill before splitting a Tuesday doubleheader against Reinhardt University. Jonathan Riordan had two RBI’s in the Bears 4-2 victory over Reinhardt.

The big week from Turkish pushed him ahead of Karson Cullins for the team lead in batting average. Turkish is now hitting .326 this season. However, Cullins still tops the team with three home runs, 29 RBI’s, and 12 steals. Philip Cazayoux has scored a Wolf Pack best 31 times. Turkish has 15 doubles this year while Carmelo LoSauro has 14 to help the Wolf Pack rank 16th in the NAIA in doubles.

Kevin Lindsey paces the Pack pitch staff with a 3.86 ERA and five complete games in 60.2 innings this season. Daniel Posway leads the team with 33 strikeouts in 53 innings while freshman lefthander Joel Buhler has 32 strikeouts in 34.2 innings.

Ross Roberts leads the Bears in batting with 18 runs and a .287 average this season. Buck Harris has a team-high 22 RBI’s. Ryan Farmer has two of Truett-McConnell’s four home runs this campaign. Roberts also leads the squad with 10 steals in 13 attempts.
