(New Orleans, La.) The Loyola University New Orleans men’s and women’s tennis teams will travel to Atlanta, Ga. for a rescheduled road trip on Sunday, March 30 through Monday, March 31 for three matches versus Bethel University, Martin Methodist College and the College of Coastal Georgia. The SSAC roundup was originally scheduled for Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 but was moved due to the threat of inclement weather.
Loyola will face the Wildcats at 8 a.m. and the RedHawks at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. They will close the road trip with an 11 a.m. contest with the Mariners on Monday.
In their last outing, the Wolf Pack men (3-10, 0-6 SSAC) and women (5-9, 3-4 SSAC) fell to Belhaven University and Alcorn State. Loyola looks to earn three conference victories this weekend.
The Bethel women’s squad (0-8, 0-6 SSAC) is looking for their first win this week. The #17 men’s team (7-4, 5-3 SSAC) is coming off a loss to #2 Auburn University Montgomery.
The women of Martin Methodist (3-9, 3-5 SSAC) were swept by Graceland University in their last contest. The men’s side (3-9, 3-5 SSAC) fell to Graceland 1-8, but the team is receiving votes in the most recent NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.
The #16 Mariners women’s team (7-5, 5-1 SSAC) are riding a three-match win streak with the most recent victory coming through a 9-0 sweep of the University of Mobile. The #15 Coastal Georgia men (7-6, 3-3 SSAC) also won three in a row, most recently defeating Mobile, 7-2.
