Loyola track runs at LSU Relays

Baton Rouge, La. - The Loyola University New Orleans track team made their second trip to LSU this season, running in the LSU Tiger Relays on Friday at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium.

The Wolfpack kept the momentum from their last meet as two runners set new personal records. Lauren Fincher set a personal best in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:10.58 and Kenny Tsao finished the 5000 meter in 17:17.65.

The Loyola women ran in the sprint relay for the first time program history. The team of Sarah Tortorich, Alexandra Lain, Fincher, and Jenna Knoblach finished with a time of 4:38. Rounding out the women's results, Tortorich and Lain ran the 100 meter in 13.01 and 13.15 respectively.

For the men, Daniel Afanador finished the 100 meter in 11.37 while Galen Westerfield ran the 5000 meter in 19:15. In the 4x800 relay, Tsao, Neal Outland, Alex Mayon and Adam Mayon ran a 9:11.63.

Loyola wraps up action in the LSU Relays on Saturday.
