Franklin Springs, Ga. – The Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team fell to Emmanuel College in three sets, 18-25, 23-25, and 24-26 Friday night.
Loyola dropped to 4-6 in conference play, 14-5 overall. Senior outside hitter Kailey Tuthill paved the way offensively with 11 kills and senior setter Samantha Worsham tabbed 30 assists. At the net, middle blockers Kaitlin Mohr and Sabrina Stansberry each recorded two blocks apiece, while sophomore libero Becca Burnett notched 10 digs and Worsham had 11.
Emmanuel improved to 5-3 in SSAC and 16-7 overall. Riley Forester dominated the Saints’ attack with 17 kills, while Brittany Woods added 12. Becca Graham notched 23 assists and Lindsey Fragale had three service aces. Defensively, Woods recorded six blocks, while Charmaine Kehoe tabbed 21 digs.
The Pack is scheduled to play Southern Wesleyan at 2pm in Central, South Carolina on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors are currently 16-8 overall, with a 7-3 SSAC record. Amber Garrett leads the team with 75 blocks 224 kills. Hayley Hoover assists Southern Wesleyan’s attack with 21 service aces and 732 total assists. Kelsey Deerinwater leads the Warriors in digs with 367, ranking her 26th in the NAIA in digs per game (5.170).
