(New Orleans, La.) - Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team completed the Hampton Inn Invitational with a perfect 4-0 record defeating Southern University of New Orleans and Union University Saturday in The Den.
In the morning match, the Pack defeated SUNO 25-21, 19-25, 25-19, 28-30, 16-14. Eva Allen led the Loyola attack with 15 kills and a hitting percentage of .387. Sabrina Stansberry hit at a .333 clip and totaled 10 kills. Becca Burnnett led the defense with 19 digs.
For SUNO (17-8), Zipporah Washington had 16 kills and Christal Hollins added 15 kills.
In the nightcap, the Wolf Pack (19-7) defeated Union 25-18, 25-20, 25-17. Katie Hamilton paved the way for the offense with 14 kills and seven service aces. Allen also notched 13 kills on the night, and Sam Worsham recorded 27 assists. Defensively, Kailey Tuthill recorded 16 digs and Burnett had 10.
For Union (4-18), Kristin Cook led their attack with nine kills, and Micaela Bailey recorded three service aces. Defensively for the Lady Bulldogs, Lauren Sprouse tabbed eight digs and Elise Seufert added seven. Cook notched five blocks at the net and Linsey Mirtsching had three.
