(Nashville, Tenn.) The Loyola University New Orleans women’s basketball team powered past Fisk University in a 108-70 victory on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Shayne Charles and junior Megan Whittaker tied for a game-high 17 points for the Wolf Pack (2-1). Charles went three for three from behind the arch and two for three from the foul line. She led the team in rebounds with eight. Freshman Kylah Jones, senior Jasmine Brewer and junior Janeicia Neely tallied points in double digits as well, scoring 10, 13 and 14 respectively. Neely notched nine assists and one steal, while Brewer collected five rebounds and a team leading two steals.
The Lady Bulldogs’ (1-3) offense was powered by junior Stevonna Scott and senior Janine Davis, putting up 21 points apiece. Sophomore Keona Grey led the Fisk effort on the glass with seven rebounds.
Loyola recorded a .625 field goal percentage and .545 three-point field goal percentage in the win.
The Wolf Pack will return to action on Friday, Nov. 15 when they open conference play at Faulkner in a 5:30 p.m. contest.
