(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans head men’s and women’s golf coach Lisa Tinkler announced that Megan Keck will join the women’s signing class of 2013.
Keck will join the Wolf Pack from Benton Co. R-1 School in Cole Camp, Missouri. Keck took first place in 38 of the 44 matches/tournaments she participated in throughout her high school career. She also was a team captain all four years.
Last summer, Keck was named the MGA Jr. Female Player of the Year and qualified to play in the Fore-State Southern Cup in Arkansas. She earned first place finishes in the MGA and LOJGA championship tournament. In her most recent tournament, she took sixth place at the All-State Sugar Bowl tournament which was held at Lakewood Golf Course in New Orleans.
As a student, Keck was a member of the student council and National Honors Society. She spent all four of her high school years on principal’s honor roll. She graduated fourth in her class.
“Megan is a tremendous player who has shown she cannot only compete but win anytime she gets on the golf course. She is also a very smart young lady who will be a great addition to the Wolf Pack,” said head coach Lisa Tinkler.
Keck will join the women’s golf team which just completed their first season of competition in 2012-13. She will join new recruits Alexis Hazard and Sarah-Anne Smurlick in the signing class of 2013.
