(Kansas City, Mo.) The Loyola University New Orleans women’s basketball team received six votes in the most recent NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. This is the fourth consecutive week the Wolf Pack has received votes.
Last week, the Wolf Pack received three votes. Loyola garnered a season-high six nods this week after defeating the University of Mobile and William Carey University.
Loyola (17-9, 11-5 SSAC) ranks 10th in Division I in total three-point field goals made (182), 14th in three-point field goal percentage (34.7), 17th in three-point field goals made per game (7.00) and 18th in defensive rebounds per game (29.07).
The Wolf Pack has won 11 of their last 14 contests including nine against conference opponents and three versus ranked squads. Over the course of the season, they have been victorious over the following teams who were ranked as such at the time of each victory: #20 Southern Polytechnic State University, #23 Emmanuel College, #23 University of Mobile, #24 Lyon College and #21 Martin Methodist.
Loyola will host Jesuit rival Spring Hill College on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m. in The Den. The matchup is part of the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight program. The game is just one of many this season between the 28 Jesuit colleges and universities across the United States.
