NEW ORLEANS, La. - The GCAC Women’s Tennis Tournament pairings were announced on Wednesday and Loyola University New Orleans will open up with Spring Hill College on April 30 at 9 A.M. at the UNO Tennis Center.
Loyola (4-10, 4-8 GCAC), the 5th-seed, dropped both matches 7-2 this season against the 4th-seed and 25th-ranked Spring Hill Lady Badgers (11-6, 9-5 GCAC). In each match, Claire Landry picked up wins in the No.1 singles match, and teamed up with Katie Beargie in No. 1 doubles for two wins.
If Loyola defeats Spring Hill, they will advance to face the winner of top-seeded Xavier and 8th-seed LSU-Shreveport at 2 P.M. The championship match is set for Saturday, May 1, at 10 A.M.
