Loyola women fall to #9 Lee

(Cleveland, Tenn.) Jasmine Brewer had a team high 21 points but it was not enough as Loyola University New Orleans fell to Lee University 73-66 Friday night at Paul Dana Walker Arena.

Brewer converted 6 of 9 from the field and 9 of 12 from the free throw line. Megen Berner and Janeicia Neely each added 12 points. Berner grabbed a team high 9 rebounds.

For Lee, Hollie German led the Lady Flames with 31 points. She was 10 of 23 from the field and converted all six free throws attempted. Jenna Adams scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the double double.

Lee shot 42.6% from the field, while holding the Wolf Pack to a 37.3% clip. The Lady Flames enjoyed a 43-25 rebounding advantage including a 16-8 margin on the offensive end. Lee is ranked ninth in the NAIA preseason poll.

With the victory, Lee improved to 6-1 on the season and 1-1 in the SSAC. Loyola falls to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the SSAC.

The Wolf Pack returns to action on Saturday against Southern Poly in Marietta, Georgia. Tip off is slated for 3 p.m. EST.
