Phil Cazayoux and the Pack will return to action on Friday

(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans baseball team’s matchup against Southern University at Baton Rouge for Tuesday, April 8th has been cancelled due to inclement weather in Baton Rouge. The two squads were scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Southern’s Lee Hines Field.

The two teams originally planned on playing a home and home series. However, the cancellation of this game means the squads will now just play one game as Southern will travel to New Orleans to face off at Barrow Stadium at 6 p.m. on April 15th.

The Wolf Pack (21-21, 8-13) will return to action on Friday, April 11th as they begin a three game conference set against Southern Wesleyan. The two SSAC teams will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 4 p.m. and follow that with a single game on Saturday which is slated for a 1 p.m. start. Loyola will honor their six seniors on Saturday as it is the last game of the season at Segnette field. They will be wearing camouflage jerseys this weekend to help support wounded military. The jerseys will be auctioned off all this week with the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wolf Pack will also host a clinic for the children of Loyola faculty and staff after the conclusion of Saturday’s game.
