Atlanta, Ga. – Loyola women’s basketball all-time leading scorer, senior Trenese Smith, was recently named All-America honorable mention by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
Along with leading the GCAC in scoring, Smith ranks 20th in the NAIA with 17.1 points per game. She closed out her senior year with 514 points which placed her at sixth on Loyola’s single season list. Smith now holds four of the top six spots on the list, with her most prolific season coming in 2007-08 where she finished with an all-time best 690 points.
Smith also took All-GCAC honors for the forth time in her career, leading the Wolfpack to a 19-11 overall record.
