Hattiesburg, Miss. – Loyola University New Orleans men’s basketball player Ryan Brock was named All-GCAC as voted by the coaches of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.
Brock, a junior forward from New Orleans, led the conference in scoring and ranked 7th in the NAIA this season at 21.2 points per game. For the season, he tallied 572 points which is 6th best at Loyola for a single season, falling six points behind his total from last season.
A three-time GCAC Player of the Week, Brock also was tops among the conference in steals at 2.1 per game.
Brock had a career best 42 points in a double overtime victory at The Den against Lambuth on Nov. 22. In the game, he outscored the Eagles in the second half, 32-30, to force the game into overtime.
Brock comes back next season as the lone returning starter for the Wolfpack. Loyola lost six players to graduation and returns a total of five letter winners.
