WASHINGTON D.C. – Loyola University New Orleans women’s basketball sophomore Amy Moody was voted to the Women’s Jesuit Honor Roll for the week of Nov. 14-Nov. 20 as announced by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities Tuesday morning. The Arlington, Texas native is one of four Jesuit Honor Roll participates to be recognized as a part of the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight Program.
Moody currently ranks nationally in the NAIA in six categories: 6th in 3-pt field goals made per game (3.4), 14th in 3-pt field goal percentage (0.515), 16th in total 3-pt field goals made (17), 37th in points per game (16), 39th in assist/turnover ratio (2.286), and 50th in field goal percentage (0.500).
Moody’s outstanding week began at Dillard where she was the high scorer with 18 points. She was 7-of-9 from the floor and 4-6 from behind the arch. As the ‘Pack’s road trip continued, so did Moody’s hot shooting. Against Southern Wesleyan and Truett-McConnell, she had a combined 45 points while maintaining her impressive shooting percentage. For the week, Moody was shooting 79.1 percent from the floor and 63.2 percent from long range.
Moody, and the rest of the team, returns to the court Friday, Nov. 23 to take on Northwestern State. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. (CST).
