Volleyball falls to Brenau University in three games

Gainsville, Ga. - The Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team dropped their second consecutive match to Brenau University on Friday night.

Despite the valiant efforts of senior Kaylie Tuthill who led the Pack’s offense with 15 kills, Loyola lost to Brenau in three straight games, 17-25, 19-25, and 24-26. Senior Sam Worsham recorded 16 assists.

Defensively, Worsham tabbed 14 digs while Tuthill added 13 and Becca Burnett had 12; however, their defensive efforts were no match for the Golden Tigers’ offense. Sydney Koon tallied 15 kills and Ellen Lemos had 14 and 17 digs.

Loyola is now 8-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while Brenau improved to 2-0 in SSAC and 9-2 overall.

The Pack, heads to Cleveland, Ga. today to end the road swing in Cleveland, Ga. with a tilt against Truett McConnell at 1 p.m.
