NEW ORLEANS, La – The Loyola women’s volleyball team suffered a 3-1 defeat (25-20, 18-25, 16-25, 20-25) Southern States Athletic Conference loss to the No. 19 Spring Hill Badgers Thursday night in The DEN. With the defeat, Loyola falls to 14-9 overall and 7-4 in SSAC play. Spring Hill improves to 29-0 and 12-0 in conference play.
“It was a good hard match,” said head coach Tommy Harold. “Spring Hill is one of our conference rivals. They are always a great team. They do not have a perfect record by accident. I’m proud our girls and the way we played. We took the first set, and we were in every other set. We are so close. Everyday we are making progress, but we have to keep getting better so we can have an opportunity to see those guys again soon.”
