(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball head coach Tommy Harold announced the signing of setter Ainsley Marroccoli, who will join the Wolf Pack volleyball team in the fall of 2013.

A native of New Orleans, Marroccoli prepped at Cabrini High and was a five year starter, seeing time in the starting rotation during her eighth grade year. The Crescents won state titles in 2008 and 2011 and were the state runner up in 2009. In 2010 and 2012, Cabrini made it to the state semi finals and went undefeated in district play during Marroccoli’s five year career.

Marroccoli was an All-State performer in 2011 and was named 2012 District 8-II co-MVP by the Times Picayune. She was an All-District selection three straight years and All-Metro for two seasons.

“I’ve coached Ainsley in the past at the club level with Cajunland. She has a natural ability to get the best of our her teammates,” said Harold. “She is one of the top setters in Louisiana and we are thrilled that she will attend Loyola in the fall.”
