Karson Cullins and the Pack will look to knock balls out of the park

(New Orleans, La.) The Loyola University New Orleans baseball team will hold its 10th Annual Home Run Derby on Saturday, October 26th at 11 a.m. at Segnette Field.

The Wolf Pack will be taking to their home field looking to knock balls out of the park as they raise money for the upcoming season. As in previous years, Wolf Pack players will have ten swings to record a cumulative distance with the total length capped at 1,000 feet. Prior to the home run derby, the team will have a four inning intrasquad game starting at 10 a.m.

“The Home Run Derby is always a fun event for everyone involved. This year, to give fans an early look at the 2014 team, we will also have a short intrasquad game before the Home Run Derby,” said Head Coach Doug Faust.

Proceeds from the event are tax deductible and will benefit the Loyola baseball team. Please contact Coach Faust at dfaust@loyno.edu or (504) 864-7392 if you would like to sponsor a player for this year’s home run derby.
