NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Loyola University New Orleans women’s basketball team lost 74-49, in their lone exhibition game of the season.
Senior guard Keiva Council led the Wolfpack offense with a double-double this evening. Council recorded 11 rebounds and 18 points, with half her points coming from the free-throw line. Both Amy Moody and Jeniecia Neely contributed seven points.
The ‘Pack shot 22.8% from the field, 25.0% from beyond the arc, and 66.7% from the free-throw line. Tulane countered with a 30-83 (36.1%) from the field shooting performance.
Olivia Grayson powered the Green Wave’s offense. The junior guard grabbed seven rebounds, dished out six assists, and tallied 20 points on 9-19 shooting. Freshman Tiffany Dale also played a significant role, scoring 13 points.
Tulane outrebounded Loyola 56-47 and their defense forced 24 Wolfpack turnovers.
The women resume play November 14, when they travel across town to take on the Dillard Bleu Devils at 5 p.m.
