BATON ROUGE, La. – Junior Samantha Worsham earned All-Louisiana honors on Friday evening as announced by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. The Chicago, Ill. native made All-Louisiana Honorable mention for the second straight season.
Worsham, a 5-7 setter, finished in the top 50 in the NAIA in three categories: 17th in total service aces (64), 24th in service aces per game (0.52), and 48th in total assists (1,096). She was 3rd in the SSAC in aces/set and 4th in assists/set. Her 3,579 career assists sits at fourth on the Wolfpack’s all-time list while her 169 career aces rank her seventh. Along with being named All-Louisiana Honorable mention, she earned All-Conference honors for the second straight time.
Loyola finished the year with a 24-11 record which is the fifth most wins in program. The ‘Pack had 10-4 record in conference play and was 18-6 against NAIA competition. LU went 4-0 against schools in Louisiana which included a win over NCAA opponent Centenary.
