(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans head women’s basketball coach Kellie Kennedy announced the signing of Zoie Miller to the 2014-15 women’s basketball team.
Miller will graduate from Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas, this year having been named the District MVP, High School Team MVP, and being selected to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Regional Team, the TABC All-State Team, the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-Regional Team, the TGCA All-State Team and earning a spot at the 2014 Texas All-State All Star Game as a senior. She finished her high school career third in scoring in AAA in the Dallas Area, averaging 18.2 points as well as three rebounds per game. Miller notched 454 points, 44 three-point field goals and 47 assists in 2013-14. She concludes her career at Lone Star as the all-time leading scorer.
“I chose Loyola because it felt like home,” explained Miller. “The team welcomed me and I feel it’s the best place to better my future. I look forward to helping the Wolf Pack win a national championship.”
As a junior, Miller received All-District First Team honors and was recognized as the High School Defensive Player of the Year. She tabbed TABC and TGCA All-Regional and All-State accolades for the 2011-12 season and was named High School Team MVP in her career. Miller was named All-District Newcomer of the Year and High School Team MVP during her freshman campaign.
