St. Thomas stays perfect on the day; defeats Lincoln Christian in five

New Orleans, La. – The University of St. Thomas improved to 2-0 at the Hampton Inn Wolfpack Classic with a thrilling 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 28-30, 15-8) victory over Lincoln Christian University Friday night at The Den. With the win, St. Thomas improved to 12-6, and Lincoln Christian drops to 15-5.
The Lady Celts of St. Thomas were led by Casey Mulryan with 20 kills and five blocks. Lauren Poe chipped in with seven aces.
Krystine Schnautz paced the Red Lion attack with 26 kills, while Jamie McFadden added 17.
St. Thomas and Lincoln will be back in action tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. with a rematch before both teams face Loyola in the last two games.
