Gold Team Takes Game 1 of Loyola Fall World Series

New Orleans- Sophomore left-hander Alex Wolf pitched a complete game victory as the Gold team defeated the Maroon team 8-2 in game one of the Loyola Fall World Series Friday night at Segnette Field.

Wolf went the distance and gave up two runs on four hits and struck out four. Freshman Bradley Brunet broke the game open for the Gold with a double that plated two runs. He was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI. Junior Ryan Scott was 3 for 3 with two runs scored and a stolen base for the victors.

Game two will take place on Sunday at Segnette Field. First pitch is scheduled for Noon.
