The Loyola University New Orleans baseball team went ahead early 4-0 and had 21 batters reach base, as it completed the sweep over Blackburn College on Wednesday night, 8-6.
Carl Labit, Jr. pitched 6.1 strong innings in relief, as the Loyola baseball team came back from a 6-0 deficit to beat Blackburn College, 12-11. The ’Pack scored five runs in the eighth inning to provide just enough cushion to seal the victory over the Beavers.
Steve Daigle, Jr. hit his first career home run and gave the Loyola University Wolfpack baseball team the lead over 12th-ranked Belhaven in the fifth inning, but the Blazers’ bats came alive in the late innings and took game three of the series, 6-3.
The Loyola University New Orleans baseball team scored a pair of first-inning runs and took the early lead for the third game in a row, but Birmingham-Southern College came from behind again to take the third straight game from the Wolfpack, 9-3.
The Loyola University baseball team led until the bottom of the seventh inning, but a five-run rally by Christian Brothers University finished off the Wolfpack, as they fell 8-5 to the Bucs.
The Loyola offense came alive on Saturday, slugging its way to a double-header sweep of Thomas University to take the series win over the Night Hawks.
