Tommy Harold is entering his fourth year as head coach at Loyola University. Harold has experience at the NCAA Division I level as a coach as well as a player.
In three years as the Wolfpack head coach, Harold has amassed a 44-32 match record. He has won 20 or more games in each of his two full seasons as the Wolfpack head coach.
While his teams have excelled on the court, they have also excelled in the classroom. In every semester of his tenure, the team’s average GPA has exceeded a 3.0.
Harold prepped at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He graduated from Randolph Macon College in 1997 with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry.
In May 2004, Harold earned his master’s of business administration from the University of New Orleans.
Before coming to Loyola University, Harold coached for six years with the Cajunland volleyball club. His club teams have repeatedly excelled at the local and national level.
Harold has coached eight club teams that have finished in the top ten at the USA Volleyball and AAU National Championships as well as qualifying teams in the Open Division.
Harold has also served as an assistant coach at Metairie Park Country Day School in 2002.
In 2003, Harold led his Cajunland team to the silver medal at the AAU Championships in Orlando, Florida.
In 2001, his Cajunland team finished second at the USAVChampionships.
Harold also served as an assistant coach at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas for the 1997 and 1998 seasons. He was also a member of the TCU men’s club team.
Harold played Division I volleyball at St. Francis University in Lorretto, Pennsylvania. He played as a setter and a defensive specialist for the Red Flash.
Antonios "Tony" Kambouris
Assistant Coach
Antonios “Tony” Kambouris enters is first year as Loyola’s assistant volleyball coach.
Born in Queens, New York, he moved to Kos, Greece in 1991.
Kambouris started playing volleyball when he was 14 years old. While at Hippocrates High School, he played outside hitter and was a three year captain. For two straight years, his school was ranked in the top 16 of the nation.
After high school, Kambouris joined the Andagoras Volleyball Club, where he played defensive specialist. The team won the fourth national division’s championship, allowing the team to move up to the third national division - a semi-pro league.
Kambouris has coached various camps and worked with players in all skill levels.
Kambouris returned to New York in 2001 to further his studies in sports medicine. He currently attends Tulane University, majoring in sports and exercise science.
